Palm Beach

This new house was built on a small, steep west facing block, with magnificent views over Pittwater. 

The brief was to create a clean modern home comprising a master bedroom with ensuite, separate living, dining and family rooms and full independent guest accommodation comprising 2 further bedrooms, bathroom and living for the extended family.   It also had to have level access, with all accommodation over 2 levels, and a lift connecting each level to roof top parking for 2 cars.

 

The site was small and steep with glorious views over Pittwater and Ku Ring Gai Chase National Park.   The house was sited to allow the sun into the house whilst the principal orientation remained to the water views.  The roof top access comprises a  roof top garden of native plants which helps to blend the house into the beautiful bush setting.

 

Following our relocation to the South Coast, the build was completed in 2015 under the supervision of MMJ Architects.
