Whale Beach house renovation

This 1960's Whale Beach home has been extensively remodelled to provide 7 bedroom accommodation for an extended family during holidays.

The original brick veneer house was locked in the 1970's, and the clients felt it was dated and the layout not suited to their family needs.  Whilst the existing house was deceptively large, it was not sufficiently large enough for this extended family.

The new design is modern yet timeless with expanses of glass to capture the stunning views of ocean and beach, and liberal internal spaces allow for large family gatherings.  A grandparent retreat with 2 bedrooms, bathroom and open plan living, dining and kitchen occupies the upper level, with 5 bedrooms and the main family living, dining and kitechen at the middle level.  The ground floor provides a kids rumpus room, garaging for 2 cars and storage area.
